Our Practice

A typical meditation session with our group lasts between an hour and an hour and a half.

We start with around :10 minutes of introductions & general information.

We then sit through a :10 – :15 minute meditation on good will, extending thoughts of happiness, health, safety, and living at ease.

This sitting period is followed by about :05 minutes of walking meditation.

Next, we sit through a :20 minute guided insight meditation, returning to the breath as our anchor if we catch the mind wandering or the body “complaining”.

Following this sitting period, we again engage in about :05 minutes of walking meditation.

Finally, we sit through a :20 – :30 minute silent meditation period.

The session ends with any questions, announcements, or discussion the group wants to participate in.
